WJP are well established plastic manufacturers, specialising in the plastics
production of PTFE and it's compounds, and PEEK and it's compounds, manufacturing
to customer requirements from the raw polymer stage right through to semi-finished
and finished components. We also manufacture components in a wide range of
plastics such as PVDF, PPS, Nylon6, Nylon 66, various filled grades of Nylon,
Acetal, Delrin, UHMWPE, and Polypropylene.
PTFE - probably the best known of the flouropolymers. Its wide range of properties include outstanding resistance to the majority of chemicals, a continuous working temperature range of -260deg C to +260deg C with short term exposure of up to 300 deg C, a low co-efficient of friction and total UV resistance. It is frquently used in the chemical and petro-chemical industries and being FDA approved, in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
PEEK is an advanced engineering filling a wide range of very demanding applications,
an ideal replacement for metal in a chemically aggressive situation or where
electrical resistance is required. The addition of glass fibre to PEEK enhances
its stiffness and strength giving it a better ability to accept high static
loads. The addition of Carbon Fibre / Graphite to PEEK gives it better stability
at high temperatures. The addition of Carbon Fibre / Graphite / PTFE to PEEK
enhances its tribological properties.
